Fabrication Shop Updates
February 9, 2022

Recently, the CR Meyer Fabrication shop invested in some updates to their facility. The first update was upgrading the current fluorescent lights with new LED lights. With the new lighting system, CR Meyer invested in using less energy, gaining longer equipment life, and receiving considerable annual cost savings. Jeff Brochtrup, CR Meyer Project Manager, said, “It’s great to see that CR Meyer is willing to invest efforts to improve our own facilities. I was able to see how much the overall light levels increased by updating the fixtures and how it really changed the overall feeling of the workspaces for our employees. Not only will there be a financial benefit to replacing the fixtures in utility costs, but it also creates a safer more productive environment for everyone to work in.”
Another update was brightening up the interior of the facility with a fresh coat of paint. As a result, employee morale increased. Kevin Werth, CR Meyer Fab Shop QA/QC Manager, said, “The lighting coupled with the fresh paint job has brought a breath of fresh air to the shop environment.”
CR Meyer values the health and well-being of their employees. These updates make a pleasant work environment for their employees to grow and develop their passion for fabrication.
